Placement guide
Leg Wrap
A leg wrap is the sleeve’s sibling — a snake spiraling up the leg in a continuous coil, from ankle toward knee or knee toward hip. It is dynamic, dramatic, and uses the body’s shape more literally than any other placement.
The full leg is a long spiral staircase — a snake can wrap from ankle to knee or knee to hip in a continuous ascending coil.
- Size range
- Large — a spiral is a journey.
- Detail
- The spiral must be planned so the coils stay even and the head lands somewhere meaningful. This is a multi-session piece that rewards patience and a single artist’s vision.
- Comfort
- Varies around the leg — calf gentle, shin sharp, back of knee intense.
- Visibility
- Medium — dramatic in shorts, invisible in trousers.
- Aging & wear
- A durable placement; the design must account for the changing circumference of the leg.
