Placement guide
Thigh
The thigh is the generous canvas: large, relatively comfortable, and easy to conceal or reveal. A snake can rise vertically toward the hip, wrap the leg, or coil with florals in a large, detailed composition.
A large, curved, forgiving canvas — the thigh takes big vertical or wrapped compositions and hides them when you want.
- Size range
- Medium to large — this is where big pieces go to be comfortable.
- Detail
- Excellent detail capacity. The soft curve and large area let realism and color breathe. Vertical pieces can travel from knee to hip; wrapped pieces use the full circumference.
- Comfort
- One of the least painful large placements for most people. The inner thigh is the exception.
- Visibility
- Low-to-medium — hidden under trousers or skirts, shown in shorts.
- Aging & wear
- Thigh skin is stable and forgiving, but weight change can subtly alter wraps. A well-executed thigh piece is a long-term winner.
